I have heard lots about Black Prophecy existing within an instance - will this not make it a Single player game?
Black Prophecy has been described as an "SAMMO" (Space Action MMO), this implies that it will be a Massively Online Game in the same vein as EvE online, and World of Warcraft (however without the elves or the point and click interface). It has however been mentioned that the game will spawn missions within an instance, however this does not mean that a pilot will have to mission alone, groups and clans will be able to take the same missions and work together to achieve the same goal (see here).
Will Black Prophecy exist in one single server, or will the game be sharded?
At the current time it is undecided whether the game world will exist as a single server, or whether there will be separate shards.

How has the insolvancy of 10Tacle affected the operations within Reakktor?
The easiest way to put this to bed finally is from a quote from "Simon Bachmann" from Reakktor. "With 10Tacle Studios gone and new, strong investors behind us, we are eager to finish our work on Black Prophecy and take on future projects." So Reakktor is now in a strong position with some very eager investors.
